Job Summary:
The Accountant will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production setting.
Responsibilities
- • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger).
- • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- • Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash.
- • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- • Ensure timely processing of payroll and tax obligations.
- • Manage inventory accounting and cost analysis specific to manufacturing operations.
- • Assist with internal and external audits.
Must Have
- • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized university.
- • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- • Preferred: Experience working in a Manufacturing Unit is a distinct advantage.
Nice to have
- o Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, QuickBooks) and MS Office .
- o Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations.
- o Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- o High level of integrity and attention to detail.
